She has made friends there, and has many opportunities to enjoy herself and socialize with others, both staff and residents. Additionally, she has been safe. With however much or little assistance she has needed, the staff has been adaptable and responsive to her changing physical challenges. During this past COVID year, which has been difficult for residents and staff alike, it has felt like the staff has worked very hard to help families feel connected and heard even while facing COVID challenges in their own lives. The facility is quite beautiful, and lots of programming y Mom encourages residents to enjoy all of the special spaces, such as the game room, movie theater and workout room. My Mom particularly loves the live music that she gets to hear twice a week. It gives her lots of joy and brings back memories from her childhood. The management is responsive to any issues of concern that are raised by residents and their families. read less

We also know God is in control. My mom found her life had changed paths. We found ourselves in the spiritual wilderness searching. We were led to the willows. A person knows they are on the right path, maybe nervous but there is a Peace. All the willows staff are so kind and helpful. Ben and Bob are made of strength and integrity. Jennifer full of wisdom and knowledge. Jen of intelligence and concern. Brenda sweet and giving. Christina compassionate and friendly. Dave and Blake helpful and funny. The rest of the staff, Either cooks or new ones delivering food or ones mopping the floors. From the top down, All make my mom feel loved and cared for. We have new found Family Members ❤️ read less

I wish she would’ve done this a few years... read moreMy mother-in-law has recently moved into The Willows of Marshalltown, Iowa. I wish she would’ve done this a few years ago. She has gone from totally living alone and doing nothing, but watching game shows, and RFD and she would say “these four walls don’t talk”, to being around people and having so much FUN!

The staff is Absolutely Amazing! I have never seen so many people try so hard to not only make the resident happy but they take care of the whole family. Jennifer Stanley is an outstanding person. She has instantly answered any of our questions. She has been so supporting and helpful. Jen, the RN, has made us feel at ease, knowing she is taking care of mom. David and Blake went above and beyond to help move her things into The Willows and hang pictures and curtains. Brenda is always ready to help in anyway she can. Christina is always a delight when we arrive and ready to help us with anything. There are CMAs and CNAs who help also if mom needs them. I honestly can’t say enough NICE things. I LOVE THE WILLOWS!❤️ read less

I am delighted to live with such friendly and loving staff that take good care of me. The food is superb and I can order anything I want, the way I want it, and when I want it. I want to say how lovely and inviting this home is. I did not want to live anywhere else but my home, my 20 acres of land I have, my son suggested, and I was getting lonely at home. Out here, there are so many interesting activities and so many caring people, I do not have that feeling anymore. Its such a true pleasure living here. read less

We were faced with looking for a suitable facility with a Memory Care unit and The Willows was exactly what we were looking for. With wonderful people, a very caring atmosphere and frankly, a brand new facility, the Willows was a godsend. read less

Ken is in the Dementia Unit which has a private entrance and parking lot, which we loves. Ken is very comfortable with his private room and bath. The food is very good and the restaurant staff is very good to serve food to the residents and they accommodate the residents with the different levels of dementia that may need a special type of meal. Ben, Mira, and their boys; the owners, are so helpful and are very caring and seem to provide what each resident needs and especially the one on one time they are willing to do. Ken loves all the windows available so he can look out the see the surrounding farm ground as he was a farmer. Thanks to all The Willows family for being so good to Ken and the other residents. read less

Medications and usage is methodical and if medical treatment is needed, it is taken right away and done very professionally.If a request is made by a resident, the staff responds as quickly as possible. Programming tours and outings are handled in a very good way and with great care.All things considered are done in a very helpful manner.Transportation is available when needed for Doctors appointments and the staff reminds us when and where we are supposed to be. read less

The people were normal and not fake. The food is good and it is not greasy and if it was, I would not be here. You have the choice of what you want to eat. The food is important to me and I never ate anything here that I didn't like. The staff is friendly. I am not that active in them and they don't push me. I like the freedom of them not forcing me to have to be there, but there is plenty of entertainment. read less

The staff was truly amazing in insuring that every one of the displaced seniors was not only welcomed with open arms, but feeling as safe and comfortable as possible during their stay. Attending to each resident's personal needs with professionalism and respect, the Willows' friendly team reinforced the compassion and spirit that Marshalltown is known for and I am grateful for the wonderful care that they provided to so many even before their official opening.
