Executive Director

There is a special something about Jennifer. Her heart of gold combines with the leadership and detail that Willows founders Ben and Mira Daniels cherish. She brings a Master’s Degree and over 20 years of healthcare experience in Mahaska and Marshall counties. But in a word, Jennifer is all about love – love of seniors, their families and the life coaching we all need later in life.

Mira was born and raised in Iowa. With a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, she spent her early career in marketing and sales management. She now works with her husband Ben and their two boys, Ronan and Declan, to create a caring community with their Willows family.

Ben is an Iowa native who discovered his love for seniors while on the management team at Sunnybrook Assisted Living’s 6 location family. It was Ben’s vision, energy and skill that has created The Willows and brought family ownership to our community.

Beth Burkemper

Beth Burkemper

Business Office Manager

Beth brings us a diverse background and wide range of skills. Her education includes a BS in Theater and Dance from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from UNI. When not keeping our accounting and other records in order, she stays busy with outdoor activities and watching her son play soccer.

Memory Care Coordinator

Stephanie’s ability to mentor others with a caring and compassionate attitude is what makes her stand out.

Married, a mom of two, and an MCC graduate, her love for working with the elderly comes from personal family experience with Alzheimer’s & dementia. She looks forward to bringing love and understanding to your family’s next journey.

Facilities Director

Blake brings The Willows an outstanding resume and a stellar personality. He is outgoing, caring with our residents and always anticipates the “little things” to keep The Willows running smoothly. Blake has eight years of long term care experience ranging from CNA to Culinary to Facilities Director – his role today. Ask Blake about his wonderful family next time you see him.

A natural born leader, Brenda is a Marshalltown Mom to 5 children. A lover of people with a heart as big as the sky, Brenda inspires residents to keep active with a marvelous menu of fun and healthy activities that put smiles on all faces.

Jen combines a youthful exuberance with a special place in her heart for the wisdom and honesty of Seniors.

An Iowa native with 14 years of medical experience, Jen earned her RN Degree from Marshalltown Community College.

She is a married Mom of two young children. Stop by and meet Jen, she always greets you with a smile.

Residents, family and visitors all say one thing – “The best food in Marshalltown is at The Willows.” One reason is our large, restaurant style menu.

But our secret is Executive Chef Jesus. Earning his Culinary Arts Degree at only 23, Jesus became Chef of The Year at Meskwaki Casino, and Hy Vee Executive Chef before joining The Willows.
